Mary Kay® sunscreens moisturize and help skin remain soft and supple. More importantly, sunscreen protects the skin from the damaging effects of sun exposure. It is virtually impossible to completely avoid sunlight, yet the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun can cause dryness and early photoaging of the skin as well as skin cancer. Sunscreen should be used every day, because two-thirds of the sun exposure you will experience during your lifetime is incidental (less than one cumulative hour of sun exposure during the day, like driving a car, walking to and from the office to your car, etc.).

The Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation
All Mary Kay® Sun Essentials® sun protection products have been granted the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. The Foundation grants its seal to sunscreen products of SPF 15 or greater that meet stringent criteria for safety and efficacy. When used regularly in the recommended manner, they may also help to reduce the potential risk of skin cancer due to overexposure to sunlight.

Active ingredients: Oxtinoxate, Oxybenzone. Sunscreening agents. Provides 15 times your natural sun protection for the delicate, sun-sensitive skin of the lips and helps keep them soft and supple. This product is not oil-free.

Sensible Protection Sunblock SPF 15† Cleansing Gel
Active ingredients: Octinoxate, Oxybenzone. Sunscreening agents. Provides 15 times the natural protection from the harmful rays of the sun to help prevent skin damage, freckling and uneven coloration. While it helps to prevent sunburn and limits tanning, it retains its sun protection for at least 80 minutes in water.

Ultimate Protection Sunblock SPF 30† Hand Cream
Active ingredients: Octinoxate, Oxybenzone, Octisalate. Sunscreening agents. Provides 30 times the natural protection from the harmful rays of the sun to help prevent skin damage, freckling and uneven coloration. While it helps to prevent sunburn and limits tanning, it retains its sun protection for at least 80 minutes in water.

Sunless Tanning Lotion - for all skin types
Provides a natural-looking tan that won’t wash off skin. Retains color for three to five days. Sunless Tanning Lotion contains an ingredient that reacts with certain amino acids in the protein of the skin, resulting in coloration. This color will fade gradually after several days as the skin goes through its natural renewal process.

Sunless Tanning Lotion does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin, even if you do not burn. Always wear a Sun Essentials® sunblock product when exposed to sunlight. Read all directions and warnings prior to product use.

Note: Because Sunless Tanning Lotion has a shelf life of two years from date of manufacture, it is important to check the expiration date before making a product delivery. Remember to rotate your inventory: first in, first out.

APPLICATION TIPS :

• The best results are usually obtained when Sunless Tanning Lotion is used in the early evening, well before bedtime.

• Keep away from hairline, eyebrows and eyelashes. Avoid contact with clothing and other objects for 25 minutes after application to facilitate even color development and to avoid staining materials.

• Color will develop fully in approximately six hours. To maintain the tan, reapply every three to five days. To intensify the tan, reapply on several successive days.

• Sunless Tanning Lotion may be used on the face, but uneven pigmentation, blemishes and facial hair may appear more prominent.

• Cleanse and lightly buff skin with Satin Hands & Body® Buffing Cream before applying lotion. Do not apply a moisturizer prior to the application of Sunless Tanning Lotion.

• Rub lotion evenly onto skin, taking special care around ankles, knees, elbows and other areas where lotion may collect.

• Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after application, but wait one hour before showering, bathing or swimming.
